Mind the Gap Ireland's Anonymous Stories Video Pilot...

2023, Mind the Gap Ireland was honored to be selected as one of the projects for Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Ideas Academy. Over three transformative months, this program not only connected us with like-minded individuals but also enabled us to collaborate within a passionate team deeply committed to our cause.

During this time, we were overwhelmed by the response from our community, with an astounding 300 anonymous stories shared monthly. Shockingly, 80% of these narratives came from individuals under 16 who had experienced the trauma of sexual abuse.

To amplify these courageous voices, we launched our Anonymous Stories Video Pilot. Through this initiative, we enlisted the help of compassionate strangers to read these survivors' narratives aloud. These stories represent real experiences from members of the Irish community, shedding light on the pervasive issue of sexual violence and sparking important conversations about combatting it.

We are immensely grateful to Gorm Media for their incredible generosity in providing us with the necessary equipment to bring this project to life. Their support has been instrumental in transforming our vision into a tangible reality.
